Finishing Touches
There you have it, your kit is finally built.  In the event that  you are not satisfied with the results, take note of the areas which you feel  need improvement.  As stated earlier, it is best to start with simple projects and work your way through to the more complex ones, learning along the way.

While we have given you some tips and tricks for better aircraft modeling, this website is meant more as a starting point for ideas and techniques rather than a full-on technical tutorial. Each of you may have different opinions as what paint to use, which brushes are the best, etc.  Our goal here is not to prescribe, but to suggest.

This editor started out building Aurora dinosaur kits in the early 70s, and went on to design and build custom spacecraft, having been influenced by the work of master model and miniature makers such as Brian Johnson (Space 1999, Alien) and John Dykstra (Star Wars, Firefox etc.).  Some of the techniques described on this site were developed after years of trial and error; however, these are subject to your own modifications and tastes.

We've set up a builder's forum so you can share your tips and tricks with other users, so go ahead, exchange ideas and ask any question you may have concerning model building.

We hope you enjoyed the information on our site, and come back to see updates and possible future photos of your best work.

If you do decide to submit photos for our photo of the month page, please send them in .jpg format, to: sgreene_002@hotmail.com

Good luck, and happy building!
